Volutive can work like a POS!  With no additional software: just Volutive and your computer If you are going to do over the counter sales you won't need another program: Volutive allows you to transform your computer into a POS. These are the devices you can add to your computer and Volutive can control:

Volutive incorporates (in addition to the invoices, delivery notes and quotes files) a receipts file which allows you to make quick POS-optimized sales: you will be able to employ a barcode scanner to accelerate the checkouts; a customer display to keep your clients informed; a cash drawer as a security measure; and a receipt printer for quick ticktet printing. In addition, Volutive will show customer's purchase change on the screen.

Because Volutive is a network program, two or more computers can work like POS, while others can be used for management and administration tasks.

Volutive compatible devices

Receipt Printers:

Although most receipt printers can work in graphic mode using a Windows driver, usually they work in text mode, receiveing chracters and printing commands directly through the port to which they are connected. Printing commands (character sequences that control bold, italic,...) are the only representative difference for Volutive between two different type of printers. Even though you can edit and modify these commands in the program, so that almost any printer can be used, if you are not familiarized with printer commands, we strongly recommend the Epson compatible printers, i.e., printers with the ESC/POS standard.

Barcode Scanners:

Volutive works properly with any barcode scanner: just note that the scanner must be connected to your computer through the keyboard port, not via COM port.

Cash Drawer:

Cash drawers can be connected either to the receipt printer or to a COM port. Some cash drawers need a specific command to be opened, but this command can also be configured with Volutive.

Customer Display:

There is a large range of customer displays available, but you must consider only those compatible with Epson commands and that have a 2x20 or 2x40 character display.
